Parathyroid hormone

Parathyroid hormone function maintains the concentration of calcium in the extra cellular fluid at an optimal level. It controls calcium levels by stimulating bone resorption, reabsorption of calcium and magnesium in kidneys and increasing the absorption of calcium in the intestine. (1)The Merck Manual.
